It’s pretty sketchy at the site as well. Two gargoyles guard the overgrown entrance. There’s a locked chain connecting them with plenty of “No Trespassing” signs. You can see what was once a driveway...

Finally.......

I’ve been a runner for most of my life. Spent a lot of years training and running marathons. At the same time, I was a bike commuter and kept thinking, “one of these days I need to do some touring”....

Like many others on this thread, I simply paid attention while riding. Eventually I did the things that I found to be most visible. Reflective clothing and flashing lights.

Just watch any “cop”...

Problem is - inflation charts show that equals $450 today (ouch)

Sold my car at the age of forty and put my monthly payment in savings. Had a seven-mile commute. Some days I rode my bike, some days I ran. Retired at 62. Now I have plenty of time for touring.

I had the exact same thing happen on my commute home one day. Made the mistake of inflating without my glasses on. Bad mistake.

Switched to a recumbent several months ago. My cateye is now a loooonnggg way from my 60-year-old eyes.
