Looks to me like standard old fashioned quill caged road pedals with some aluminum half clips of some kind attached. They're still being made by MKS and some others.

My old 220 lb riding partner tore the welded Bottom Bracket out of his Huffy. The Schwinn Super Sport he replaced it with held up OK.
