no experience here. I'd rent a full sus trail bike if it's available. It's going to be a lot more comfortable over the long haul and they're a lot easier to control than an xc bike.

I've been using them all season and I'm a fan. It's a really hard rubber compound and you don't slip at all. Even on wet painted surfaces. You don't have to worry about torquing the plate too...
