The only difference youll really notice is how they look, the deepvs are smooth all the way through, while the dp18s have a visible edge/bevel between the deep portion and braking surface.

A single speed doesn't have the advantages of neither a geared bike nor a fixed gear. In other words it sukcs, unless its a cruiser for cruising around town.
