I had a local frame builder do it for me. Cost wasnít very much ($150 Canadian IIRC) and he was able to check the frame alignment after, which is something I couldnít have done very easily.

Are you adjusting the pads by turning the barrel adjuster on the cable or by the 3mm pad adjuster? Adjusting the cable will result in exactly what you are describing.
