Mine was advertised as 'Cross Terrain', the beginnings of cyclocross, I suppose--cantilever brakes, taller BB, short head tube. It's heavy has heck, but tough.

I'm buying car parts today, so loaded with two heavy brake rotors and a set of brakes. I'd estimate the weight to be around 40+ pounds, maybe more.

Agreed. The 11t is pretty useless on a commuter bike, and on most other rec rider bikes too. I find for me 12-27 or even 13-28 is perfect for my compact double.

Red and green just says 'Christmas' to me, for some reason. I was thinking if not white then perhaps black, or even lime green might provide some nice contrast and flash.
