I ride Fulcrum Racing Zero, there is no rim strip because the nipple doesn’t go through.

I think the problem is, or was, that my tire picked up a small wire (possibly from a car tire steel belt)...

Speaking of spare tubes, I had to stop at a bike shop in Carpinteria, CA, to buy a spare tube, just in case (well I ended up using it).

It was $8 bucks for a no-name tube. Damn!

My biggest worry is getting trapped on a local canyon road when the Santa Ana winds are roaring and the risk of fire is great.

Otherwise it would take wind of 30 mph or more, to keep indoors.
