Those were decent built bikes. I had one I converted to a drop bar touring bike and it worked quite well. If you can get it for 50-100 you are doing good.

Go to TJ Max or one of the discount stores and find a thin merino wool sweater. Wool doesn't retain odor, naturally wicks moisture, and will still keep you warm when wet. Its natural.
