No problem, good luck with the build. He offers re-chroming as well, but he outsources it and it's a tad bit expensive in my opinion. I had my fork crown re-chromed and it turned out really well.

To my knowledge, If it's a 6 digit serial number, the first digit will indicate which year in 1980s it was built. If it is a 7 digit number, then the first two are the production year.
