We lucked out on ours on Saturday (6/20). Rain started to come down around 10:30. By then the sprint have been long done. Didn't stop the swells on the Atlantic to come out and party with us though.

You can clamp on the tob tube too with a hand towel or piece of cloth. No biggie. I prefer doing this than put more stress on the seat post clamp.
