Riding on 53/39 12-25. Majority of my ride is in the hills. Up to 16% grade. At least that's what a friend tells me. He has one of those computer thinggies.

Obviously I don't know your specifics but when my knees are sore I ride only on the small chainring, only. I recommend it to anyone that are having knee issues. It works.
