Absolutely disagree. Daytona as a model was only terminated due to a copyright lawsuit. Early Centaur is exactly the same, just has a different logo. No compatibility issues with any C10 components....

I run 9 speed chains on lots of different 6,7, 8 speed setups but usually with indexing and matching derailleurs and shifters. No problems with 9 speed chains working on the cassette cogs.

Campagnolo made their freehub wider when they came out with 9 speed, so have been able to stick with that width for over 20 years...
