A high-end / custom / obscure frameset can be had for a few hundred bucks.
Frame without fork is often much less.

I don't bother covering the brake lever clamps. Polyurethane is my finish on cotton tape...

but in the last few years my riding style has changed and I've been enjoying the better fit of a 62cm.
