What a load of codswallop! I'm far north of 2.5 and I don't "avoid hills". I load bikes with stuff (pushing me even further from "2.5") and go ride lots of hills....sometimes to the tune...

A friend wanted to trail ride, so dusted off the old chromoly GT and went out to ride. Nothing radical-just the usual singletrack with rocks, roots, stream crossing, etc. No log jumps or major drops....
