I would try welding a support between the chainstay and the seatstay to compensate for the braking forces. Seatstays can be pretty weak if they weren't designed for disc brakes. Awesome job though!...

I recently switched to 155mm cranks on my road bike, and I'll probably do the same on my FG. Feels really good with my 27" inseam. :D I even won a race (criterium) on them.
