I just learned that a bike with frame size and TT length the same is known as, in your case, a "square 54." Just thought that was interesting. Perfect for me is a square 55 with my 32.5" inseam.

Wow. I've been using them without issue. Hit pot holes at serious speed with no problems. You must be a lot bigger than me (187 lbs) and a lot more powerful. Which wouldn't be hard.

My CAAD 12 came with the same gearing as the OP's. I couldn't spin the 52x11 at comfortable rpms. So, I swapped out the 52/36 for a 50/34. Same cassette. Much better for me.
