52 years old 243lbs. Need to drop some weight. 43lbs would be great but 53lbs is goal. Got a salsa vaya and going to try to ride 3x week. Ed some nutrition help or meal plan help.

Non Clip-in Shoes

Doing the GAP trail in a few months. Looking for a pair of shoes to wear for the trip. Using platform pedals and will stop in towns along the way and walk around. Was going to just wear running shoes...

Ended up buying the Salsa Vaya 2018 tiagra. Topeka rear rack, Chester pedals. Maybe need a seat. Just one short ride around the neighborhood so far.

thnaks. I will be only loaded about 4 times per year on rear rack panniers and top bag. Other riding will just be empty rack.

Does it make sense that one shop put me in a vaya 55 and the other in a Radar 51? Seems very different in sizing to me? Or maybe I cannot read the geometry charts properly.

Ready to buy help.

Looking for a light touring bike for GAP trail and rails to trails. A couple of over nighters on the trail from time to time. Credit card travel no tents or such.

i want an upright riding relaxed...
