Dura Ace AX pedals - bearings loose

I have a bike in the shop with those funky 32mm Dura Ace pedals. Both have about 1/2" of play (very loose). I took one apart thinking maybe it had the wrong size BBs but they seem to only fit 5/16....

Edit: Hm, just looked at the manual, they list a shim for 28.6 as "SM-AD17S Clamp Band Adapters...

Update (and conclusion)

Replaced the front derailleur with another 34.9mm. Still can't reach small ring with 110 BB. Installed 113mm BB, that did it. Very tricky but now working

Oddly I had to use some teflon tape on the threads of the barrel adjuster so it wouldn't slip. This is a new old stock Weinmann cable

I'm now the proud owner of a candy red NWT. It was originally specced with a DualDrive setup but my reuqested STIs made that hub an issue. The spec ended up being a triple setup, 53/39/30 with 11-34....

BF hangers are brazed on, ie they cannot be ordered and replaced. If something happens, a new one needs to be brazed on, not exactly doable in most situations.
