can anybody give me a detailed step-by-step how-to when changing the spring on the future shock system for my diverge. the directions are (in my opinion) not non-mechanic friendly

yes by raising the bars you effectively moved back the center mass, this caused more weight to go where it is needs to be, but you still need to engage your core to create a stronger balance.
