According to Schwalbe they had a bad batch with excessive runout. They have replaced all three of mine with no problem. All three blew out while sitting (last one in a hotel room). Each had no more...

The largest tire you can run so you can drop the tire pressure. If it is hardpack you will be fine with little or no tread. If it gets soft/muddy you will be walking though.

I bought a frameset last May on a smoking deal. It is the GR250 (not pro). I have put about 2500 miles on it with 50/50 asphalt and trails. Worth the money.

Not much

Assuming you are using a stiff shoe, I believe you won’t feel much difference in the pedals.
