Should I down size for a BMC road bike?

Hi, I’m looking to buy a BMC Teamachine. I ride 54cm in Giant. I went to a shop and they told me I would be 54cm in Specialized too. They also told me I would be 51 cm in BMC. They didn’t had any BMC...
