So to further my education a follow-up question. Doug you mentionef long horizontal dropouts. What about the sliding dropouts that are a seperate "piece"? My wife's touri g bike has these.

When we check bikes in for repairs at the shop the chai is checked for wear. If it needs replacing I always tell the customer "A new chain doesn't want to play well with an old cassette/freewheel"!

Have test ridden both? I would do it ASAP as bike inventories are rapidly depleting.

Apparently there is a difference between liquid mask and liquid frisket. I bought the frisket and found after multiple tries it is way too thin and snags even with a sharp blade.

We currently have DT Swiss 540 hubs on our tandem running 700c wheels. Looking to switch to 650b.
Thinking of going with Velocity hubs.
