The fork does not have a start nut installed. That is why I am going to be using an FSA compression wedge as the top cap.

The easton fork did come with a "bear trap" gizmo that I have installed...

Yeah I've got a 11-34 and an Ultegra Long Cage handles it fine. I was more intrested in why the 11-30 , 9 speed range was such a rare configuration.
