My max heart rate is much higher then the age adjusted rate, everyone’s heart rate is different and the formula is a very crude estimate. Some hearts pump fast and easy and some pump slow and hard....

It all seems pointless to me but the estimates would be closer if they did this. Segments with climbs where wind isn’t as big a factor and they used rider weights from their profiles probably work...
