Although if I were you, I'd save up for the 9-5 which already has the 105 component set instead of upgrading piece by piece. You'll end up saving more money that way.

I'm thinking threads like this end up costing Trek a lot more than what it would have just cost them to take the guy's frame and repaint it, or at least try to correct the problem.
