That does not look very good. The mark on the back looks like it just might be a crease or something but the front looks like it has opened up. Most carbon repair shops will charge ~$50 to do a check...

Honestly that looks to be a bad job at cutting by the shop but it does appear to be just on the surface. You may want to cover the area so moisture does not get behind and saturate the carbon.
