That's 100% false. I did every inch of the ride and it was MAYBE 20% peanut butter mud total. The last 50-60 miles was muddy but rideable except for two short spots.

I agree with everything that's been said here....

I agree with everything that's been said here. Even replaceable hangers should be aligned correctly, so if you crash with either type you're aligning them both to get the best shifting anyway.

Having seen and ridden both in person I can tell you there is almost no difference in geo, fit, construction, or weight. Literally the biggest difference is the paint job, like you said, and the cost.
