This doesn't qualify as "vintage", but it is a conversion nonetheless. Running SS for now. Soon to be a full out touring bike. The frame/fork geometry is similar to an ideal touring bike.

problem with installing new v brakes

I installed new v-brakes (Tektro M530's) today w/ new cable/housing on new hand-built wheels. Wheels are true as can be and the bike is a 90's TREK MTB. Frame/fork is not bent or damaged.
