I've got a cadent i8. Had it for over a year. No real problems with the bike, except for frequent flats, which I've addressed by checking tire pressures more regularly and getting schwalbe marathons....

So, I've only had the bike for a year and a half, did not notice any stretching/problems with the belt. I believe they're made out of carbon fiber/plastics of some sort, but not sure....
