All my bikes had standard 53/39T combo. No issue climbing anything here. You can always fix the problem by getting a bigger cassette in the back. I say go and get the bike!

I have both the XTRs, and M4s. In my opinion, I'd sell both and get another set of M4s. The rotors alone is worth it! Plus hopes have much better modulation, and WAY more power than the XTRs.
