Nice, mine says "champion narrow" and also came with huret down tube shifters. It has the luxe competitive hubs but with weinmann hookless clincher rims.

Does anyone have any brake levers they are willing to party with? I am trying to put a mixte together for my mom and I think the upright, swept back bars are more suited for her.

Either reverse or normal. Size shouldn't be a problem as I have a few different size bars I could try. Putting a mixte build together for my mom and I think north road style bars would suit her.

Sorry, they are aluminum weinmann clincher rims. I can post photos in a bit. I have been using a plastic scraper with wd40 but it is taking forever.

Skinwall tire debris stuck to rim. How to remove?

I removed some skinwall tires from an old luxe competition wheelset. There are a lot of little bits from the skinwall stuck to the rim and It is very difficult to remove. Any tips?

Would there be a benefit to directly mounting the RD onto the frame as opposed to a hanger? It looks like the bike has a hanger in the 1983 catalog.
