Pro teams should do this, why limit the ads to the clothing? Seriously, every day I'm astonished how unrelentingly bad this season's weather is. If I had known I would have planned a western tour.

Mid-Atlantic can have rainy stretches from Feb to June, basically luck if paths will be dry. Spring has turned quite warm, this March might be fairly comfortable on C&O and/or GAP.

Bonneville Salt Flats? That would be pretty interesting with all the history of the speed records & I suppose near a lot of other good routes.

Outer Banks sounds interesting though I can't recall reading about bike touring there. From what I see one can take the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke Island & then another ferry to Cedar "Island"....
