Agreed, that Hunt-Wilde tape isn't comfortable. But it certainly looks better than the Pacific saddle sitting there in place of a Brooks B.15.

I'm equally sure they're original. Mountings are typical Raleigh adjustable rod stays for the DL-1, the pattern is the same, and the knurling is omitted right where you'd expect the front rod brakes...
