Bicycles are less stable than tricycles. But both are stable enough. I've ridded with high aerobars and low aerobars and both were fine.

I've never understood why people have a problem with high aerobars. All aerobars do is move your arms out of the wind, nothing else. They'll do that no matter what height they're set up at. Sure...
