yeah I made that mistake as well they looked really nice but there were only two hand positions, next to the stem and in the drops, everyplace else was just awkward and uncomfortable

I did, I rode with Eggbeaters for 2 years before switching to platforms and straps. For the riding I do platforms and straps just work better. I'm not likely to switch back at least for road.
