My english is so bad so i only say that i ride my kona jake the snake everywhere.
MTB is boring on the road and the roadbike is useless in the woods...

CX rules.

No, it's handbuilt in USA by Gary Fisher (the company)...

They built 300 of them betveen 88-92 and as far as i know there are five of them here in Sweden.

Congratulations to a great bike! I've had mine snake since September and i just love it! I use it for everything but most commuting now in the winter.

I've never raced a cyclocross race but have used my Kona Jake the snake in a couple of weeks now and think that if you have to chose betveen your MTB and your touring bike the MTB would be the best...

I bought a Kona Jake the snake a couple of weeks ago and can really recomend it. Here in Sweden there are no other alternativs for a cyclocross in that price range.

It's a little bit heavier that i thought it would be but i'm very satisfied with how it handle. It deliver a very smooth ride an are very stable in the mud.

I'm gonna change seatpost and saddle...

A heavier aluminium frame is not necessarily more robust but for commuting the Jake is all you need, why spend money on a snake for commuting?
