Campagnolo downtube shifters - how to get them work?

I'm very close to finish building my old Benotto. The only thing I still miss is to get the shifters work. There are no "stops" while tensioning the cables. Am I missing something ?

It's a "Paris Special", probably from the 80's.
There are holes down the frame for the gear shift levers.
I expect 5x speed cassette on rear wheel and 2x in front.

So I did it :)
I used the old seat post even without making it to "the tool". The size was perfect. I only cut the rounded end of the seat post with a hacksaw, making a sharp edge.
