Yeah a Mountain bike cassette would work on a road bike. The chainrings on the Poprad are 36/48, so you probably won't need to change them.

I don't think my 05 Poprad came with that saddle. It has a cheaper poorer quality Bontrager saddle. I'm happy that it hasn't fallen apart yet. I'm still trying to save up money for a new rear wheel...
