Justify their greatness? I mean, sure, they are decent wheels, but certainly not for the 1000 dollar price tag. Plenty of folks make a lighter wheel that performs just as well for significantly less....

You can run 28's in the front I know though, I've run a road wheel I had a 28 on in the front due to a flat.
