It's the wrong tool for that job. I was able to use an ancient 800 to do 600k rides (at times, in the dark) faster than using cuesheets. And people get lost using cuesheets regularly.

The maps that come with the 520 don't have much detail. They are there to make the display of the "breadcrumb" track a little bit better. Downloading more detailed maps to the 520 is a bit of a hack....

Most things don't scale stuff. It seems like scaling stuff takes CPU power (which is something the Garmin's don't really have much of).
