(And, yes, totally appreciate when drivers use the other lane to pass - just seemed odd to do that at a light and end up on the wrong side of the road)

Yes, almost certain that's a Norway Maple - grew up with one outside my window. Nice yellow color in Fall, but no Sugar Maple.
