Thought I would point out, that usually blowing on hands has a negative effect after the initial warmth of it. You are basically adding more moisture to your gloves.

To limit bacteria growth, I flush with clean water, thoroughly dry and then store element in freezer (in a zip lock)...works for long term storage.
