FWIW, I have a CAAD 12 and a Guru (steel) w/ Mavic USTs and both weigh about 17 1/2 lbs. Things like components and wheels/tires will make a weight difference. And, IMO, tubeless Mavics are amazing....

Mine has a similar feel. Problem is it doesn't absorb anything. I tried to find the actual material used and couldn't. My rolled up bandanas are much better than my headband. Glad yours works.
