What is a 26X1.5/1.75 size wheel

My son has an old crappy cruiser bike that needs a new rear wheel.
The label on the wheel says 26x1.5/1.75.
What is the size of this wheel 1.5 or 1.75?
How do I shop for this?

Thanks
