4 or more years of one track bike may sell less than one year of an entry level roady though, even cervelo stopped producing track bikes because they just don't sell. The 'elite' track frame market...

Molds cost more, the sprint frame is very different on the inside and much stiffer than the pursuit bike.

That look pursuit bike at the time was a slightly modified road TT bike.

Aerobars only really help in the kilo to hold speed and not drop off too much. 500 isn't really long enough for aerobars to help, they probably are more of a hindrance with the compromised start...

I think Corina actually do a 3, 4, and 5 spoke front wheel. Lots of the five spokes are being used by sprinters at the moment

Madison and a lot of enduro setups really aren't that far off aggressive road positions, they're not super uncomfortable like sprinty ones

I'd imagine it wasn't necessarily the width that was the limiting factor, more the available hand position for the sling. Most of the narrower bars tend to be sprint oriented and obviously slope away...
