I mentioned the mounting difficulties to the vendor, who acknowledged the problem and planned to market a redesigned mount. But it didn't happen and they haven't relisted any variation of this light...

I ordered the red. Some of our casual group ride safety monitors dislike anything but standard red rear/white front lights. And I'm planning to try this light on nighttime group rides to get feedback...
