Riding a frame that's slightly too big is a lot more comfortable than riding a frame that's too small (at least in my experience). My ideal size is 59, but I am generally ok riding frames up to 63....

surprisingly enough, the fork is dead straight with no signs of damage at all, however on close examination the bars were bent as well.

From what i've seen it is usually the fork that goes first....
