Success! 4-0 steel wool soaked in xylene is stripping the dried glue right off. Almost out of the xylene, though, so I'll be switching to naphtha momentarily to see if that works as well.

Yeah, it's a hard decision. I love the bike, always have. Used to work at a bike shop as a teenager, and was way into Nelson Vails. Bought the Pista with big plans, but haven't been on it in years....
