Brass is easier to drill, or ream.
Easier on the inside of the barrel.
And quieter if it does rub the barrel than steel.

Yes, limited sizes for Sugino cogs. Sugino has a better interface, imo.

I had the same problem with my FSA Carbon Track Pro crankset on my Jamis Sonik.


Omniums:

Very easy to update the the BB with bearings, or a brand new BB such as the Chris King.
