I do refurbs as a sideline. We're an isolated town and have 2 bike shops where cheapest starting was $600 this year if they could get bikes. Otherwise we've had me, Fred's with a few Dynacrap...

Might just be the angle of the pic but it doesn't look like the cable is routed correctly. In all the ones I've worked on the bolt is to the left when you're facing the drive train side of the bike....

I always do new chain with a new cassette or freewheel. Not worth it to try to get a few more miles on the old chain and cause unnecessary wear on the new cassette IMO
